INTRODUCTION

Before I share the details of the Amazon page with you, I'd like to thank Nina Shaw (THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU) for the wicked artwork she developed for this novel. The cover and marketing content represent the dark atmosphere and bizarre characters 100%. Nina was actually the first person to promote the mutant theme above the zombies, a modern theme that I've tried to allude to in very little detail. And yes, she got it right because the entire plot is not centered around the traditional zombies but a zombie of a different kind, mutated, grotesque, and as eerie as only a mutant can.

The book's price is drastically reduced to introduce you to Nathan Harker's dark side. A place inside my mind where the monsters hide. A place inside my mind where I don't go very often. But since I had to part with someone I cared deeply about my unconscious mind was locked inside of this place till the last chapter.

Anyhow, here's that Amazon page and a few reviews posted by other Nathan Harker fans who couldn't get enough.

"a strong female protagonist, Emily Blackwood, challenges the norms of post-apocalyptic narratives, infusing the story with a feminist edge. The gothic portrayal of this teenage heroine adds a dark and captivating layer to the sci-fi horror experience." - Amazon Review

After being kidnapped, Emily wakes up in a quarantine tent. She finds herself part of an experiment after a mutagenic bacterium had unleashed a global pandemic.

Haunted by the memory of her mother's death, Emily is thrust into a struggle for survival. Benjamin, a young boy who barely escaped with his life, is now tortured by nightmares as his sanity dwindles. Drake speeds on his Harley Davidson toward Chicago, fleeing the woman he wronged—can he outrun his past? And while Carol stitches together her scattered memories, she uncovers the shocking truth about her father.

In a world tormented by zombies, Emily and the boy are in a race against time. Saving the world was never part of her plan, but her unique genetics might be humanity's last hope. Driven by despair, she'll stop at nothing to avenge her suffering.
